Ellen

Ellen is one of two playable characters.

You play Ellen when she is twenty-two years old, just after she has reached the Village of Doolin in the Prologue. Prior to the game, Ellen grew up in an orphanage because her parents died when she was still a young girl. Throughout the course of the storyline, you discover that this isn't exactly true. As Ellen meets other characters both of the living and the dead, her story begins to uncover.
Ellen is introduced to the Netherworld by a Half Life named Scarecrow. In the realms of the netherworld, Ellen can wear several different costumes and cloaks and can acquire a unique set of folks to aid her.

Ellen's mother is Ingrid, who murdered Ryan and Renaldo seventeen years before the start of the game, at which time Ellen's name was Cecilia.
